Taman Cyathea

Cyathea Garden is named after the tree fern (Cyathea), which grows abundantly in the Bedugul forest of Bali. Its umbrella-like shape symbolizes protection, aligning with the garden's goal of preserving ferns and mosses.

As of August 2020, Bali Botanical Garden recorded 211 fern species, with habitats ranging from epiphytic, terrestrial, to aquatic. The garden is divided into three zones: reception, outdoor collection, and indoor collection. The indoor zone features a dinosaur-shaped paranet house as a symbol of conservation, while the outdoor zone is designed to resemble the spiral shape of young fern fronds. Epiphytic ferns are attached to concrete trees, and mosses are arranged into small hills to mimic their natural habitat.
